The Hifi C1 is the flagship model of Pekka Tuomela’s loudspeaker kits, available in two different versions for the bass section: a cardioid design or a dipole design. The speaker was introduced in issue 1/1991 of Hifi magazine and was also used by the magazine’s editorial staff as a reference loudspeaker in listening tests. I happened to find a pair of these speakers in broken condition: the cabinets had apparently split into several pieces due to a fall or other accident, and the crossovers had also been damaged as wires had torn loose from them.
